NACHTIGAL HYDRO POWER COMPANY (NHPC) - LAUNCH OF THE SECOND EDITION OF SCHOLARSHIPS 2025

Nachtigal Hydro Power Company (NHPC), responsible for the Nachtigal hydroelectric project, is pleased to announce the second edition of its university scholarship program. This program is intended for the best young high school graduates from the districts of Batchenga, Mbandjock, Ntui, Obala Sa'a, and Ebebda who have passed the general or technical baccalaureate exams or the GCE Advanced Level exams for the 2025 session. The selection criteria are as follows: Be regularly enrolled in a school in the above-mentioned districts during the 2024-2025 school year. Have obtained a “Very Good” or “Excellent” grade in the technical and/or general baccalaureate in the 2025 session. In the event of a tie, priority will be given to a candidate from the project's area of influence. Have formally submitted a scholarship application. Provide proof of pre-enrollment in a public higher education institution. NHPC will cover the following costs for each selected young person: Enrollment and tuition fees: Up to 50,000 CFA francs per year for three years at a public higher education institution. Living expenses: An annual allowance of 550,000 CFA francs to cover meal and travel expenses. Equipment support: A one-time grant of 200,000 CFA francs for the purchase of a computer for the first year. At least 50% of the young people selected will be women. At least 50% of the young people selected will be from the project's area of influence. NHPC DOES NOT CHARGE ANY FEES AT ANY STAGE OF THE SELECTION PROCESS. COMPLETING THE APPLICATION Applications must include the following documents: A cover letter specifying the name of the university and the chosen course, as well as the parent's telephone number. The pre-registration form for a public higher education institution. A photocopy of the school card and school certificate for the 2024-2025 academic year. A photocopy of the high school transcript or the list of official results mentioning the name and grade obtained. SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS Applications must be submitted to the NHPC office in Batchenga, located at Camp Nachtigal, no later than October 3, 2025.
